rally for road safety
On April 5, 2016, the Radar Coalition sponsored a Rally for Road Safety in the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg. The purpose of the Rally was to end the irrational and contradictory public policy of the General Assembly which enables the State Police to enforce the maximum speed laws in the Vehicle Code and hinders municipal police from doing so. This public policy has contributed to Pennsylvania having the worst record in the United States for speeding-related fatalities. For more details on the reasons for ending this bad public policy, please read the Rally Handout that was given to every Representative and Senator in the General Assembly. A supplementary piece debunking the concerns of some of the members of the General Assembly is also available below.
